As I was telling Keith this morning, I have never seen this 'window dressing' phenomenon wreak as much havoc as it has with the tech sector these last 2-3 weeks. And what is really hilarious is that , as earnings roll in and the growth rates in earnings in tech far outstrip anything the 'old economy' stocks have to offer, the money will pour back in, just like it did before. And what is really galling to me is that the dumb shits that chase those growth rates really don't base their decisions on anything else. They don't do any DD. They don't even know what the technologies they're investing in are about. They're gambling, pure and simple, and their money flows with the next new game in town. And then you get 'market mavens' like Flabby Cone and Mark Maybeus shooting their mouths off with no numbers to back up what they say at all. And then you have Hugely powerful vested interests deliberately trying to stand in the way of the deployment of Awre's technology..... The Friday before the VRTA disaster (which began the whole downward spiral for us on this thread) my portfolio was worth $270 (times some unnamed factor of 10) and today it's worth about $113 (times that same factor). More than one time I've said that if I make my bundle, I'd like nothing more than to tell the market to kiss my ass. But then, if I'd really made the killing that enabled me to say that, I'd love the market all over again. jess.
