H James: "interest rate fears" -- the slope of the yield curve creates enormous risk here -- risk of a run-up in rates when investors realize how close we are to exceeding the limits of the economy with the fed behind the curve, and the added risk that the process of getting the fed ahead of the curve will trigger a recession -- a half point move in May, with two or more moves to come.
