"...a journey of a thousand dollars (a share) starts with a single step. This is a step in the right direction."

True enough! I guess I just like instant gratification too...

They are doing the right sort of thing anyway. Meanwhile, Those who sold at $13 and $14 this past week are going to not be able to believe what they have done in a while. Maybe as soon as next week...since we are talking instant gratification.

Incidentally, I don't subscribe to the 'kick BS out' ideas. Irwin Jacobs too indulged some wishful thinking between 1992 and 1995. It took a full two years longer than expected to get CDMA moving. Sure, BS has moving-plans which are always on target. But I would like to see him have the achievement of being the Captain when Globalstar really takes off. It's been 10 years in the making and sure there are marketing glitches, bad price plans, some bad designs and stuff. We've even had calls for Irwin Jacobs to be kicked out [three or four years ago and even the odd person this year - and I do mean odd!!]. You don't hear that now! You want to know what would happen to the QUALCOMM share price if Irwin died today?

With Globalstar, all we need to do now is wait for the right time to open the champagne. You better get it in the fridge soon!

Sure, there is another 10 years of development work to do, to get the next constellations, handsets and gateways ready, with upgrades, new ASICs etc constantly needed. But the big one has been done. Constellation1. We just need good marketing plans, Ericy and Telit handsets and some action.
