Thanks for the heads up. I don't have access to CNBC tv but managed to take a look at it on the web through their video streaming service. Fantastic era we live in really. Saw both the Balter and Jonas interviews. Interestingly on the IDT side is an intent on IDT's side to venture into Fiber jointly with AT&T. For a CEO that a few years ago said he hated AT&T this is a major turn around. I suspect, and depending on the nature and relationship of the fiber deal, that IDT will run into some difficulty in working with AT&T. I'd like some more details on this deal but it shows a promising start. About IDT Europe, IDT Latin America, etc, going public. I don't know that that is such a good idea. The right thing for IDT right now is to use the cash and partnerships to move forward as a global carrier. Howard sees MCI WCOM as being the only competition and although we know this isn't true, it does in fact show some ambition. FYI repurchased a small position after the Liberty Media deal. Small enough not to care if they screw things up again, but a position nonetheless so that I can participate.

Coincidently I just listened to the conference call hosted by NTOP, IDT, and AT&T. I'm no more impressed with Howard now than I was before. Almost sensed that Armstrong was embarassed to be participating during part of it. I compare it to the indulgancies of the academy awards and almost expected him to thank his mother and the lord above for this day. I even heard references to a "golden boy"(?) Howard has a nack of overextending himself and it you could see that it was difficult to contain him in this call. I have to say that thing with his daughter was not cool. He still lacks professionalism and I still see this as a possible impedement on IDT progressing new strategic relationships. Mostly this was a call for NTOP and definitely springboards them to the next level. I can't help but be impressed with what they've been able to achieve in one year since they broke away from IDT and Jonas. That in my mind was the best move they could have made. Still you can't deny the opportunities that now exist for IDT.

After listening to the cc I have to agree with you Steve. All this new press may see a lot of new investors come into IDT early next week. Importantly Jonas let slip (he's a class act (sarcasm)) that AOL will be very soon acquiring a greater stake into NTOP so this will also help propel the stock upwards. Soon though they'll have to stop relying on the NTOP buzz and start delivering themselves.

Certainly an interesting company to watch...
