Oil shares look slick. Canadian energy stocks are dramatically undervalued
By GLEN WHELAN, CALGARY SUN
Friday, March 31

Calgary bargain-hunters need look no further than their own backyard, local brokerage house Peters & Co. Ltd. said yesterday.

Canadian energy stocks are dramatically undervalued and present a real bargain for value-minded investors, according to a Peters & Co. research report.

"The market has put a heavy penalty on energy stock valuations as share prices failed to rally with the crude market in late 1999 and early 2000," said the report.

"Now that OPEC has agreed to a disciplined production adjustment, the market can put a higher confidence level on expected crude prices."
