barry: I'm not 100% sure.. but I believe that all the manufacturing of telecommunications equipment went with Lucent. The new digital phone service is called PCS "Personal Communications Services". I would image you saw a Sprint Commercial that talked about the new digital service. Here is a Sprint news release that talks about the PCS digital service and its advantages over cellular.... lucent.com also lucent.com
