But keep it simple. Its best to know about 12 patterns really well rather than scant knowledge of 56 patterns. I filtered from the book those that we use on and on. Also note that for both 10 and 5 minute charts the candlesticks are the same signals like daily charts. Daily charts are obviously stronger trend change markers. Intraday charts would be good to signals you if your daytrades are in danger of moving down or if they are 'reversing' and moving up. Of course nothing is infallible.

I've got over 54 books that I've read in the past 4 years but have settled on the 6 or 7 classics. Careful about any 'daytrading secrets' you read as some strategies are 'faddish' and disappear in time. Any books by Larry Williams, Alexander Elder, Edwards & Magee, Thomas Dorsey, Martin Pring, John Murphy and Laurence A. Conners will last a lifetime... and get ingrained inside your head permanently as part of your trading and even investing strategy. Other books will come and go as quickly as you read them. No books that claim "Wizardry or Hit & Run Tactics" should be taken seriously. Books on particular trading systems are the worst. At the head of this 'keep away from' list are expensive add-ons to programs like Tradestation, Metastock and Advanced Get. If these programmers knew so much they'd be more successful and not be willing to share these 'secret programs' with the world. This is just my opinion after some thousands of dollars of books and many of them wastes of time.
