In case anyone thought I couldn't spell, I believe I'm indebted to Sure for my affectionate reference to the GLT as the GSB, which stands for gun snake band. I doubt that anyone was terribly confused.

I hate to express such inane animosity, but really, the company funded the band for years, during one of the most critical and financially desperate periods in their existence. It's true that the company did not accede to the band's attempt, late in 1998, to extort exorbitant funds outside the contracted agreement. In fact though, the company met all it's contractual agreements, and was prepared to up the ante considerably once the band signed the final agreement. Instead, the band chose to reneg on its contract and claim sovereign immunity. In my mind, that choice revealed the band's ethics to be as low as a snake's belly. I think Sure (if it was him) hit the nail on the head; so for me at least, I now refer to the GLT as the GSB.
