Looks like a drkoop.com has been dealt a death blow. Look at med-emerg (MDER). Has real earnings and a new internet presence (healthyconnect.com). I don't think many of these internet health care sites can survive on internet revenues alone. Med-emerg has $35 million in revenues from their clinics and ER ventures and are now expanding overseas and in the US. They have a very small float. They are also getting into the laser surgery buisness. The future will have to be traditional revenue generating buisness combined with the internet. I don't think many of these health "dotcoms" can stand by themselves. Drkoop is just the first casualty. Can Healtheon/WebMD be far behind?
