I have digital TV now via COX. Some comments:

-- Have had network glitches in the middle of a PPV movie. It caused the picture to tile out and then the movie ran with jerky motion for about 10 minutes. Not all is well in the technology. This has happened as a once in 20 movie event.

-- Offerings for digital TV are sometimes interesting but our household still watches mostly major network TV. More content will be needed to really make the digital part interesting. Spiffy technology will not make up for lack of content.

-- Picture quality sure beats the average blockbuster tape quality. This, plus VOD will bury Blockbuster someday.

-- As a consumer, overall I am pleased.

Any comments on DirectTV or other satellite technologies?
