In all fairness, don't be too sure. When I was at Wellesley, I knew more than one student who became excessively and irrationally dependent on a professor. Insisted on endless numbers of appontments, were crushed if any was ever cancelled, called the poor guys at home, the whole nine yards. And yes, if not satisfied, they WOULD complain to the dean.

There had to have been more than a missed appointment. A student of Suzanne's class would not have consulted with an administrator unless there were more.
