While I too think MSFT should try to come up with a last pitch to settle the case, this isn't like business negotiations were deadlines can be extended if need be. Judge Jackson has already let the negotiations go on longer than his original schedule. I think there is a 50/50 chance he'll issue his ruling on Monday after the market closes.
