Management Changes
March 29, 2000

Mr. Jim Norrie, President and C.E.O. is pleased to announce the following senior management changes. Both positions report directly to the President and are effective immediately.

Tom Briggs, C.A., - Vice President of Finance and CFO

Tom Briggs has over 30 years of financial accounting, administration, taxation and shareholder relations experience in the oil and gas production and service industries, software development, land development and agricultural market sectors. Mr. Briggs has worked as an independent financial and accounting consultant for various businesses and has held various chief financial officer positions with companies such as Esker Resources Ltd., Pancontinental Oil Ltd., Strathfield Oil and Gas Ltd., and PanAtlas Energy Inc. He has been a Partner in his own public accounting firm and with a predecessor firm of KPMG.

Murray Lytle - Executive Vice-President and COO

Murray is a professional mining engineer with a Masters degree in Economics. His career has spanned the mining and petroleum industries both in Canada and South America. He came to UIS after 5 years with H.A. Simmons, a large engineering company and 14 years with Imperial Oil Limited. He has worked in a senior capacity on both very large and very small projects and comes to us with a wealth of experience in both production management and project development.
