I agree with you here. IMO the next 4-5 days will have more weight on the forces in play than the last 4 months of negotiations, because the perceived hopes of a settlement have dissipated.

It would be quite ironic after attempting acquiescent settlement talks, that maybe MSFT came full circle for a breakup, which they already planned on as a possibility. On MSFT's terms and not Larry E. or Scott M.

After the recently reported intensified dissension amongst some of the AG's, a self imposed break up settlement offer on the behalf of MSFT at this time IMO would allow enough pressure to be placed, that would put the remaining holdout AG's into submission. And at the same time save face.

It's just a thought.
