Hi there FR,

Is it true that an IRA is a 'custodial' account?

Well, I'm not exactly sure what that means legally, but I must tell you that EGRP bought stock for me ON MARGIN...[they filled a cancelled buy order along with another buy order, same stock-there was ONLY enough $$ for ONE of the orders to be filled]... and THEN, weeks later, they sold the 'originally cancelled' duplication order for me at a loss and then CHARGED ME INTEREST!

['interest' in the form of taking some shares of my stock...my original order...bloop, they were gone!]

Poof!

Here in e-suckerville, we call that a ClusterPluck.

When I called to resolve ETRADE's ERROR, the egrp employee told me that,

"Computers are people too, and they do make mistakes!"

He actually blamed me for the consequences of their 'systems software glitch'...[how convenient for etrade].

I wonder who's money they bought the duplicate order with...?

I suppose that the etrade employee must not have know that it's illegal to margin IRA's.

BWDIK!

Do you know how I can contact an e*Trade Compliance Officer, directly...?

Thought I'd ask a seemingly 'satisfied customer' about this-

Thanks FreewayRamp!
