Several degrees of separation? BMY is funding the research being done at the Whitehead Institute on a DNA chip. The DNA picture: dailynews.yahoo.com And related news from MIT: web.mit.edu And BMY's Pharmaceutical Research Institute (PRI) and the section on Whitehead Institute: bms.com And the latest from the BioTechnology conference from Wired News re Eric Landers and the "Liver Chip": wired.com Dr. Colin Brenan made the presentation at the BioMEMs conference re the "Living Chip": knowledgefoundation.com (see Chapter 8) And is in collaboration with the "Liver Chip" project: knowledgefoundation.com (see Friday, June 23, 2000 event) Are the timing coincidental, i.e., BMY's 13D filing in March and Cadus' official termination of the "Living Chip" exclusive license? This was probably discussed in a boardroom somewhere. BMY is ramping up its PRI and will probably need additional research ammunition, afterall, the bio-research pace will start to heat up considerably soon.
