Hi Rande.....i found your linking post very interesting-- Re CNBC's repetition of major brokerage upgrades & downgrades each morning. Maria Bartiroma(sp?)in particular seems to be their shill. However, I believe she thinks of herself more as an actress than a financial reporter & chooses those topics that to her will have the most dramatic effect with almost no concern as to the veracity of her report. The talking heads on CNBC's Squawk Box have warned us many times to think of their 3-hr marathon as "show-biz." They say "it's not easy to fill up that much air-time with substance".
