In general, the opinion of the average American regarding the US political and judicial system has been in decline for a number of years. I think the whole MSFT DOJ state AG's mess will come back to bite the G-men both federal and state in the arse. They will try their best to villify MSFT and Bill Gates but it will not work. Now that MSFT will appeal and fight, the government has lost its manuever room. MSFT is in control. The G-men stand the very likely risk of losing on appeal and becoming a laughing stock. I hope for their own sake, that their collective puny shoulders can stand up under the torrent of scorn and ridicule that will follow.
