Hi, I am answering this because you responded to my posting. However, Yamakita, who started the thread may be your best source.
The symbol is CWAHF (company names formerly was Cheung Wah Dev. Holdings before Softbank bought out company and back in Softbank Investment Int'l). It trades OTC BB foreign, pink sheets(I think). On the Hong Kong exchange it is [HK 648]. It would be good for you to read the first 10 or so messages at the beginning of this thread for info on how to buy. My broker (Gruntal, ugh) does not have any problem getting these 5-letter symbols ending w/F stocks.
I bought in at $2 and if you check the start of the thread, most messages give prices around 2-2.50/share as where they "got" in. At today's price of HK$5.00 (down .90 right now), this translates into US$0.643/share - a sickening steal at present, from my original entry position. Obviously, softbank is a tiny bit pricier. As softbank goes, so goes CWAHF (for now)
Have you looked into PCCLF (Pacific Century Cyberworks - [HK 1186] (PCCW) -- which is buying C&W Hong Kong Tel - [NYSE HKT] or [HK 8]. HKT may be the better way to buy PCCLF/PCCW) or HBRRF (Harbour Ring [HK 715] to be renamed ICG Asia works, jv formed between ICGE and Hutchinson Wampoa [HK 13] [ADR: HUWHY])
Actually, here is a link that lists a few of the Hong Kong tech stocks. Don't consider it a recommendation, but it is a good start for DD on Hong Kong techs.

Here are links for Hong Kong quotes:
e-finet.com
beta.int.quamnet.com
you can get quotes on CWAHF, PCCLF, HBRRF at MSN, Bloomberg, iionline.com.
There are OTC BB symbols for most of the HK stocks.

As to the potential/risk I have no idea -- but IMO high applies to both! It was good advice from one poster, after he purchased 648: "...wrote it down to 0." After all, this is a softbank backdoor listing and was an EMPTY shell when many of us bought it. I am not sure what if any value can be attached to what SFTBF has put into the shell . The info on that is also on this thread. The news release had no positive impact on this stock. As Softbank goes, so goes CWAHF and as Nasdaq goes, so does Hong Kong Exchange.
Hope this is not too rambling and confusing. Hope this answers some of your questions.
