Bipin, what are your thoughts about:

1. In the latest major web exchange: Boeing/BAE/Raytheon/
Lockheed, Oracle was unneeded and Commerce One got 5%
of the venture.
What does Commerce One offer that Oracle does not; and
what does Oracle offer that Commerce One does not. I
know, of course, that orcl is unparalleled in data bases
but Boeing etc. can buy (or already owns) orcl data
bases. But what in B2B does Oracle offer that will
mean the loss of this big exchange is not the signal of
a trend.

2. That's a helluva lota stock the COO is selling. Can we
as stockholders ignore that?

3. No question orcl is a fabulous company. that's why i'm
so, so long. But fiscal 3Q 1998 (March 1999)revenues
were 2.007 billion and fiscal 3Q 1999 (March 2000) revs
were 2.449 billion (excluding Liberty stock sale). That
is up about 23%. Does 23% growth justify 115 x earnings
Also, a big chunk of the increase of 3Q net to .17 a
share is from wringing out costs by using the Internet
+ orcl software. Excellent selling point. But how much
more can be wrung out? and when that ends, perhaps
earnings will rise much more slowly.

Not trying to make trouble. Looking for solid answers that
will encourage me to hold out if orcl heads back to the 25
time earnings it sold for just a year ago.
