INDIANAPOLIS, Apr 3, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- BrowseSafe.com, Inc. (OTCBB:PGPG - news), a world leader in Internet content review that has developed PlanetGood(R), a software utility that offers parents worry free browsing for their children of all ages, is pleased to announce the key addition of Rex E. Easley as Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Easley's strong history of success is seen as a significant advance in the Company's growth and development.
"Mr. Easley's business acumen is a tremendous addition for BrowseSafe.com," stated BrowseSafe.com President and CEO Mark Smith. "Rex has been involved in the areas of technology management, operations management, strategic planning, marketing, database marketing, business systems and process design, sales and customer service for the past 20 years," added Smith.
Mr. Easley's knowledge and experience is well-proven in the areas of managing technology-driven operations, developing corporate strategy, market research and segmentation, finance, pricing analysis, and new product development and roll-out. His previous work experience includes international consulting firms Cambridge Technology Partners and Andersen Consulting. He also gained industry experience while with the J.P. Morgan Bank and a number of years with the largest provider of automotive computer software and services.
"I am extremely excited about the immense potential of BrowseSafe.com. After studying this market space, which includes a few other publicly traded companies such as CyberPatrol (NYSE:MAT) NetNanny (OTCBB:NNSWF), WebSence (NASDAQ:WBSN), N2H2 (NASDAQ:NTWO), and SurfWatch (NASDAQ:SPYG), I strongly believe in the superiority and uniqueness of the BrowseSafe (OTCBB:PGPG) product, the strong management and the direction of the Company," stated Rex Easley.
Just prior to joining BrowseSafe.com, Mr. Easley was a client partner with Cambridge Management Consulting, a division of Cambridge Technology Partners (NASDAQ:CATP-news). While at Cambridge Management Consulting, Mr. Easley developed a complete customer-driven enterprise plan for a large utility client using the Cambridge Customer Loyalty Model. His most recent project included overseeing the development of a business plan to support a new global Internet Initiative for the World Bank, in a joint effort with Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT-news) and IBM Consulting (NYSE: IBM-news).
Additionally, Mr. Easley brings valuable insight with experience as director of operations at The Reynolds and Reynolds Company. At The Reynolds and Reynolds Company, he delivered immediate results to meet the demands of 80% annual business growth in a newly acquired database marketing business. His role enabled overall production volume and revenue to increase by 300% with only 10% more staff.
While at J.P. Morgan & Company, Mr. Easley applied advanced data structuring and database management concepts directly to the development and implementation of a major financial business system. This resulted in a relational database repository of customer financial transactions, allowing for the first time in the industry, daily reporting of global account profitability and worldwide financial positions for this global finance leader.
As a senior consultant at Andersen Consulting, Mr. Easley developed and implemented a cost methodology for a national telephone and communications company to provide product specific cost data vital for deregulated pricing decisions. He also performed a complete redesign for all transaction processing functions for a large Midwestern national bank which resulted in detailed recommendations ranging from improved cash management practices to newly implemented account profitability analysis.
Additionally, Mr. Easley serves as a founding member of the national Web Enabled Business Solutions (WEBS) practice community of Cambridge Management Consulting. He was also a member of the global Customer Loyalty Management service line advisory group.
