The average crustal abundance is interesting, yet it tells us very little about where these elements are concentrated in economic quantities. If you look at where PGM "ore" is on the planet, you come up with very few deposits. If you look where gold "ore" is, you will see there are very many deposits. The PFN- River Valley situation is very interesting, but they are far from having proven that what they are sitting on is "ore". It's a beautiful speculation though with some good promotion coming up.
