I am mystified by that decision. Why on earth would DDI rip out all their IS95 equiptement to build WCDMA? Why do they keep insisting that CDMA2000 is delayed? It is my impression that C2000 will be comercially viable much sooner. It is also much cheaper for them to go to CDMA2000 and with multimode chips they will be able to cross over networks by then anyway? Are these japs that stupid, or am I missing something?
