You do the heavy lifting because you are good at marching and can heel. Its easier and more fun for me to role marbles under your feet. You posed gender equity in the work place as a rise in social equity. Question one: Is it? When the average woman is pressured to accomplish this goal she has to balance (or ignor altogether) other tendencies. This doesn't seem like equal footing in the first place. In any event, women have demonstrated their ability to do this, and so the big challenge is over. Question 2: What's the next one; Prove that a major society can operate under female domination for the first time in world history. Why? And at what cost to condition or character? Question 3: Rise to what? Some of us see women (as a group) being put in a more and more precarious position as they move along this continuum.
