Frustrating, Seldom, I'm sorry. For me, I do better when selling slightly ITM puts on strong issues that have been hit, essentially position trading them. I'll buy back after a positive day for the stock, then sell again on a down day. I've done just the same as you a few bazillion times and grumble all the way to expiration. As a matter of fact, I sold ARBA puts that I've now got to ride out.

Look at BVSN for a call play, perhaps, and SUNW as well. BVSN's positive and looks technically to have turned. SUNW has a split rumored and will likely rally on the MSFT settlement.
