Nice toys are very important, IMO. They hate to get bored. They get a little destructive unless they are entertained. A stimulating environment and regular exercise help. Mine is out in the back yard with his brand new Weed-Whacker, happy as a clam. I called out the window to ask him whether he cared that the Nasdaq was down 6%, and he said, not really. His retirement account is in S&P500.
