I firmly belive that the pro Bre-x hype on this thread went way beyond simple investor loyalty and became almost cult-like in its group psychology. As evidence, one had only to note the rabid attacks on anyone who had anything remotely negative to say; the refusal to acknowledge facts that indicted a contrary opinion; the dark suggestions of ever-wider conspiracies; the elevating of certain personalities who posted on this thread to "guru-like" status; and the almost obsessive continual posting of certain individuals essentially repeating over and over the same thing. Very similar in fact to the Iomega chat groups. The fact that this thing was getting completely wacko was brought to a climax yesterday when, after the Saturday Globe and Mail article which estabished beyond doubt that this thing was a con game by a sleazy groop of three-time losers, there were still many people on this thread who would have bought on Monday if the Strathcona report had not come out!!!! Simply amazing. I'm going to miss coming home from work and checking out the thread. Goodnight, Goodbye, and Good luck to you all.
