I called Schwab (after the fact, after 4:00 pm) to let them know that I'm aware of my (precarious) situation. I found that if you call them first, you may be able to buy some time with them. Just passing along that info along.
I deal with Schwab also, and have found that to be true. Thanks for the tip.

Also, to those who may not be aware - remember if you are considering (as I am) selling some stock to cover a margin call that you only get back as much as was charged to your account for the purchase - which may be as low as 50% of the sales $$.
