RE: MSFT -- consumers have lower prices and more choice, we are living in an age of awesome competition, growth, wealth creation and you view this as punishing a "monopoly"? I view this as another attack on the successful by the liberal (i.e. i see a chance for a handout, i didn't know cigarettes are dangerous, I had to use explorer) collective. "Should've settled" could easily read should have paid the blackmailer.
FWIW, I own Sun, not miscrosoft. I am not arguing from my position -- this ruling hurts all leaders, all innovators and our entire country for that matter as dynamic creation slowly ebbs and less trickling down inevitably occurs....
