Manugistics Kicks-Off New Branding Campaign

ROCKVILLE, Md., April 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Manugistics Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: MANU), today followed up on its fiscal year 2000 earnings announcement, in which the company stated that it had completed its turnaround, by launching a new corporate image and a multi-million dollar advertising campaign.

"Manugistics is moving at eSpeed. Our delivery of Web-based B2B solutions, our position as a premier provider of intelligent decisions for eBusiness and our execution as a team are positioning us well for the future," said Greg Owens, president and chief executive officer of Manugistics. "The future will be determined by our ability to deliver the technological velocity, business momentum and business intelligence that will help keep our clients one step ahead in today's dynamic marketplace."

In the fourth quarter ended February 29, 2000, the company posted a 51 percent gain in license revenue over the prior quarter ended November 30, 1999. Also in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2000, the company's eBusiness offerings generated more than 30 percent of license fees from new and existing clients

In the past three months, Manugistics announced major client wins in the B2B e-commerce marketplace with companies such as eDefined, Ltd., FreightWise, Inc. and iMotors.com. In addition, the company announced client wins with Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corporation, Fuji Photo Film, USA, GE Lighting, Glaxo Wellcome PLC and Unilever Company Limited. Manugistics also announced a new strategic alliance in the fourth quarter with complementary software provider Siebel Systems, Inc.

"Our new identity capitalizes on our solutions' ability to help bring clarity and insight to the complexities of business today," said Jeff Jeter, senior vice president of global marketing for Manugistics. "Today, we are launching an aggressive marketing campaign that talks to the market in terms of business results and the power of leveraged intelligence from Manugistics."

The company's campaign includes a new corporate logo, tagline -- leveraged intelligence(TM) -- as well as an updated Web site (www.manugistics.com). Plans also include an aggressive advertising campaign in major business publications and targeted marketing campaigns in the company's key industry vertical markets. Manugistics will be presenting its new brand campaign at an internal kick-off event today, concurrently with its advertising campaign kick-off.
