This apparent Bre-X hoax boggles the mind. As stated, the whole
of the Canadian junior mining complex and the financial and
public relations nexus which lives on it, profits from it, and
promotes it is tainted with the stench. The chickens have truly
come home to roost in a breathtaking display of karmic justice.
That being said, it were well that NPEC is not listed on the
Vancouver exchange despite its principals roosting there.

To the extent that NPEC has ferreted out good properties
and has made honest pronouncements, the market will judge.
It is common wisdom that Bre-X has now been discounted
by the market. Perhaps so. Going forward, however, the
resource investor will likely submit junior mining claims
to a much closer scrutiny and entertain less ready acceptance
of positive pronouncements. That means that firms like NPEC
may have to work much harder to garner trust from the investing
public, though, perhaps, not nearly as hard as the beleaguered
juniors of our Canadian brethren.
