I'm not targeting you, Ernest. And I'm trying not to be too heavy handed in my replies here, but I guess without much success. It's just hard for me to point out illogic without it sounding harsh.

It is irrational to fear the engineered food on the market. We're not talking about overloading cattle with hormones, leaving girders out of bridges, or even deciding which redwoods to cut. We are talking about genetic manipulation of some seeds to change an undesirable trait of the same plant. It could be done through selective breeding, but it is much faster and easier to do it genetically. It doesn't change the basic properties of the plant, it adds or removes particular charactoristics of the plant, such as disease resistance, grain size, or as in the article provided, the ability of the plant to reproduce.

So, I'm not being intentionally abrasive, I'm just trying to get you to use logic instead of fear and rumor as you discuss the issue. Facts, please, Ernest, not fearmongering.
