Ahhhhh, there was a degree of tension there.
I used to have those moments when I was with Etrade....and still used market orders on fast moving stocks. I remember it well even though it has been several years....
1. Place an order and switch to real time.
2. 30 minutes later...go check where I filled....NO FILL
3. Light a cigarette. Inhale it in one drag.
4. Take a walk. Check for the fill....NO FILL
5. Sacrifice a chicken to the trading gods.
6. Check for a fill....NO FILL
7. Call Etrade and ask them if they had any intention of filing the order in this century.
8. 3 hours after the order...cancel the order.
9. Spend the rest of the day arguing with them about how the order filled at the high or low (whichever was undesirable) AFTER a cancel was entered.

Not that I harbor any ill feelings towards them. Just becaused I use their prepaid envelopes from spam mailings to send them notes like....
I'll buy savings bonds before I ever use you again
or
I would rather be sodomized by a flea-invested camel than use you again
or
Hell, even Boiler Room Discount Brokerage is better than you
Is no reason to think that I would hold a grudge.

Again, not that I hold any ill feelings. I am positive that the service must be much better than when I was with them...it sure as hell can't be any worse than it was.
