Gary: Closing them down? Not exactly. The issue here is criminal abuse of market power -- the remedy is to reduce the power. Reduce the power and you reduce the profitability -- assuming monopoly power is the source of their profits -- a good bet. If MSFT was smart, they would keep from appearing to abuse their power. Instead they flaunt it like idiots. That is what they are doing now, flaunting their sense of power. Do you see any humility? Contrition? Flexibility? Serious searching for solutions? Nope -- just chest pounding "we will prevail" -- what a hopeless bunch of amateurs.
