BLUE BELL, Pa., Apr 4, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) --

Sinclair Broadcast Group Places Order for Digital Buildout

Acrodyne Industries, Inc., a leading manufacturer of television transmission
systems, announced today the order from Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc.
(NASDAQ:SBGI) for eight, two-tube Quantum(TM) IOT-equipped transmitters for
digital service. These transmitters are compatible with either the 8-VSB or
COFDM DTV transmission standards.

The Sinclair stations to receive the high powered transmitters are KMWB-TV in
St. Paul, MN, WXLV-TV and WUPN-TV in Greensboro, NC, KSMO-TV in Kansas City, KS,
WKEF-TV and WRGT-TV in Dayton, OH, WTVZ-TV in Norfolk, VA, and KDSM-TV in Des
Moines, IA. Deliveries are expected to be completed by the end of this year.

Nat Ostroff, Chairman of the Board of Acrodyne, commented, "These latest orders
