Dear JDN: At least you had something to think at one time! I have never quite known what to think about PMTC!

Let me give you a little history lesson: Once upon a time there was a company that was believed to hold great promise, Prime Computer. Promise is one thing and... ah, things got real bad and shareholders were offered cash for their shares. Those shareholders who (foolishly) did not take the cash got shares of DR Holdings. Part of the reason ending up with DR Holdings was such a disaster is because people got socked each year with an amount to declare on their taxes even though the value of DR Holdings was not exactly going up and there was no market for the shares.

Well, DR Holdings did not serve people any better than Prime because guess what! People now got shifted to Computervision. Once more, the bright light at the end of the tunnel was nothing more than a medical condition requiring a trip to the eye doctor. People holding shares of Computervision's "bright light" was to now hold shares of PMTC.

PMTC? I shake my head. I also kick myself for not selling when it was at 30.

Regards,

Lynn
