There may be some truth in what you say, but the market, especially the high flying momentum drivin' Nasdaq and "Internut" stocks, were way overdue for a fall or collapse in any case.....
CNBC/BubbleVision is "guilty" of helping to cause the market to go too high though, especially when they started to make Tom Costello's beat down on Times Square a central focus. This helped to cause many naive traders and so-called "investors" into buying stocks that were way overdone on the upside already, so in at least that respect, they (CNBC) are "guilty" in my opinion.
