LTK,

You can "check" resources as follows:

Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Information

However, I suggest opening your Resource Meter as follows:

Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Resource Meter

It puts a little "bar chart" in your "Systray", on the right side of your "Task Bar". Holding your mouse pointer over it will tell you the Windows calculation of your available resources at any time. If mine is green, I operate fine. When it turns yellow, I can never be certain an "app" will function properly, so I start closing "apps", or even just one "browser" window until I am green again. I am always operating right at the green/yellow margin. Try it for awhile.

Then, of course, there is the exculpatory...Your experience may vary

I put the meter in my "startup directory" and it operates full time. Others use more sophisticated monitoring, such as some Norton utilities.

Good luck,

JCC
