Mike, sorry didn't mean to not respond to the Lucent query, to be honest I didn't read past the little separator line you inserted. Sorry I didn't notice it.

With regards to the Lucent product versus fSONA, there is little fundamental difference I guess, with a couple of obvious exceptions.

- price - fSONA starts at $18k USD per link for a 2km OC-3 or Fast-E system

- speed - the fSONA product starts at 100/155 mb and goes to 1.25 Gigabit and Lucent starts at 2.4 Gigabit. We have really just targeted different market segments. The big factor here is the capacity and cost of the networking equipment required to interface with their systems versus ours. The 2 product lines, although in a different way than the RF systems, are complimentary rather than competitive.

This must seem like I think we are complimentary with everyone, but the reality is that we are in a lot of ways. We do not compete in the same market space as Lucent, we are a great compliment to RF systems (because of the enhanced speed and E/M interference issues), the high speed pt-pt is a very nice augmentation to the pt-mpt systems that are all the rage in general and even the existing fiber build-outs for redundant pathing in construction areas etc.

Sincerely,

Leigh McBain
