It is crazy. Same story: Shorted 400 shares GENE at 15 3/4. No fill, cancelled and placed another order. Later both confirmations come( if system work well should not have two orders since it exceeded my buying power). Tried to cover but don't dare to place at ask, for fear that may get extra long. Chased it up and finally cover 800 shares at 17 1/8. This time I eat it but no way I can trade this way. If I place a order (buy at ask or sell at bid)it just don't fill, than later it may or may not fill with later confirmations. When there is emergency you can't just wait 15 minutes to see if you get a fill, since if you don't get a fill the stock may drop far away. I have another order sent to ISLD and then disappeared, while still showed in my open order screen but it never got a fill, and now the stock is up.
