Dumont Starts Torngat Airborne Survey And Albany Drilling

TORONTO, ONTARIO--Dumont Nickel Inc. (DNI-M; DNI-V;
www.dumontnickel.com) announces that an airborne magnetometer
survey has begun at its 331 sq km Torngat diamond project,
northeast Quebec and a 1500-2000 meter drilling program at its
Albany, Ontario nickel project.

The airborne magnetic survey is following up on a recent (February
2000) interpretation of satellite data, from which Dumont has
identified several northeast-trending linear elements, parallel to
the Torngat 1, 2, and 3 and Torngat South dikes on the contiguous
Twin Mining (formerly Twin Gold) property. In 1999, Twin Mining
collected several large samples of the kimberlite dikes,
recovering 475 diamonds of which 80 are macro diamonds. Twin
Mining recently completed a high-resolution airborne magnetic
survey of their property and interpreted the Torngat 1, 2, and 3
and Torngat South dikes as a connected group of kimberlite dikes
at least 22 km in strike length, as well as discovering several
other northeast-trending magnetic anomalies interpreted as
kimberlite dikes, and is currently carrying out a sampling
program.

Dumont will commence drilling at its Albany M4-1 target (Dumont
67%; North Atlantic Nickel Corp. 33%) on or about April 5, 2000.
The M4-1 intrusion has similar rock types as the Sudbury Complex.
Targets have been identified by high-resolution magnetic surveys.
The nickel-PGE targets are covered by 130 to 270 m of overburden
and flat-lying Paleozoic limestone and have never been explored by
modern geophysical surveys and drilling in spite of the fact that
they are within 120 km of the Trans Canada Highway and the
Canadian National Railway. It is anticipated that 4 to 6 drill
holes will test the most obvious targets starting immediately and
finishing in late April or early May 2000. Further details on
Dumont and its properties may be obtained at Dumont's website at
www.dumontnickel.com.
