A thought- I would guess Maria, Joe, et.al. do not own stocks. Due to conflict of interest problems, they probably are not in the market as a condition of employment. While that should keep them objective, it also means they have no stake in being responsible for their excited trumpeting of a "crash". Their interest is in creating an exciting story, and what could be more exciting than covering the crash of the decade? So they pour it on, without a thought of what it does to individual's portfolios because they personally have none!
Any thoughts about this?
