Whew, what a day. I can't recall haven't seen such pure panic except for 1987 and 1996, or was it 98. The NAZ was down 550 points at noon, on top of the huge sell-off of the past few days. here are ONE DAY charts of some pretty incredibel swings: quote.yahoo.com Keep in mind this is ONE DAY. ranges like these used to take a year or two!. Stocks that managed to rise today, like EBAY, YHOO and QCOM should be respected. They were very strong against the tide, though succumbing for part of the day.
About 1 PM today, we were on the precipice. The recovery was nothing short of amazing. while damage was still done today, on top of the past week or two, today's action has to be viewed constructive. expecting a pretty good bounce tomorrow, and then we'll see. mr margin has but a whooping on a lot of people. he should be used with extreme caution, imo. larry
