Tried to cover my SPY short at 142 3/4 and just leave my 2beta S&P short fund hedge. Wasn't nifty enough, got caught frozen in the headlights of a possible crash and moved too slow with my order. If you look there's an interesting divergence where the SPY's sold off on the 15 extra minutes they trade after 4PM. Wonder if this will have significance in the morning? Guess it was either longs who wanted to bail out in the morning or shorts setting up at the close some for a hedge. Didn't sound like the funds were facing major redemptions. See one day chart below
