chic,

If you want a stable computer, run Linux.

I don't know about you, but when I have my computer on, I run applications and develop applications. These applications use data that I want to share with other people. My applications have to run on computers that my clients use.

If I wanted to look at a blank screen, or perhaps compose a document with vi, I can assure you I would pick Linux for it's stability. But in the real world, it's no contest: You have to run Windows.

Joe
