What do you consider your "core account"? The half we don't hold in common- IBM, DELL, EMC? I have written covered calls in the past but would not do so now on most of my present holdings because I do not want to be called out. My ability to predict short term moves is not good. I must be missing your point or not communicating mine. Perhaps it is my use of the term "significantly". I am not looking for each of my holdings to repeat last year's run by QCOM. I am stunned to find that I have some that have even doubled in less than a year. Your dismissive, arrogant tone suggests to me that you have the comfort of either a high current income or a substantial portfolio. I don't feel I have the luxury of either and so I worry. If it bothers, and clearly it does, I will take my petty concerns elsewhere.
