JCC,i am in a very low security situation,and i have found that if one simply deletes ALL e-mail from unknown or untrusted sources,i do o.k(and i do not click applications,even if sent from friends,as they may not know if the file is corrupted).In 4 years on my old computer i never was confronted with a virus.As the computer seems to be quite happy now that Virus Scan is gone,i am going to let things be.Also,my divestiture of Virus Scan was so thorough,it can't be retrieved,with out my re-running the whole uninstall/re-install for my entire original system from the restore disc that i got from Compaq--thanx much for your help.max thu far i haven't been able to find the resource meter---do i need to right click to get the click option as i can get no further than opening "system information",and seeing that data.
