"MSFT is taking aim at AOL" I read that last night and wondered if that wasn't part of the reason for the decline yesterday. In fact, every time MSFT makes some such statement, AOL takes a dive. The reality is that AOL has 22MM members and growing, whereas, MSFT has (still) 2.5MM and stagnant. The absolute best MSFT could hope for is to cause a minor slowdown in AOL's member growth rate. I believe it has also been proven that subscribers will "pay" for content and AOL has it, with much, much more to come. So what's the big deal.
