Although neither of my firms has hiked margin requirements in the last week, I read that MSDW, Schwab and a couple others have bumped up maintenance requirements just recently. If this is the case, there may be more forced liquidations that will add selling pressure on the open. Actually it would be good to squeeze more weak hands first, before we attempt a sustained rally. With AG speaking today at 1:30 PM EST on the New Economy, there is going to be outright nervousness in today's session. Anyone with any bullets left may want to hold them until after the speech. I'll be holding my.....well I don't have any bullets, so I'll have to figure out what to hold on to. Best, B
