The Denver blue collar workers deposit a check at the casino at least once a month around here Unlike the state sponsored lotteries which do prey on the the lowest on the economic scale, casino gambling is a disaster for all levels of society. Every 3 months or so around here there is another high profile legislator, city official, etc. caught embezzling or some other criminal activity, who pleads gambling addiction as the cause of his actions. We hear a lot about the increase in bankruptcy. I suspect a large fraction of the increase is due to the explosive growth of casino gambling.
